It has been my privilege to have taught thousands of dogs and their families over the past 30 years. It has been heartwarming to watch the relationship between owners and their dogs strengthen and grow. A thank you to those who entrusted us with training multiple pets over the years and for second generations who attended with their own best friends. It was a special moment to hear from the daughter of a former student while signing up her own dog that the family poodle who attended classes 19 years previously was still going strong.
We have now retired from the class portion of the business and have closed the Dunwin Drive facility.
Our focus has changed to in home consultations with an emphasis on providing new puppy owners with the training tools necessary to build a trusting relationship with their companion. Each consult is customized and is designed to enhance your group experience.
Over the years it became evident that the time span from when a puppy was brought home until they were eligible to begin class was often a frustrating time especially for first time puppy owners. It was also a missed opportunity to start training pups who are eager to learn and to stress the importance of early socialization in an extremely positive way around new people and real world experiences.
We offer one time customized consultations lasting 1.5 hours or short term weekly sessions if requested. These sessions can include but are not limited to bite inhibition (puppy nipping), crate training, impulse control, an introduction to basic commands and any puppy issues you may encounter before starting a group program.
We will be happy to discuss other training/behavioural needs you may have for in home training.
