FAQ

Do I need to bring my dog to the first class?

Yes, your dog will start learning with you from week one

Can my children handle our dog?

We strongly recommend that training on the floor begins with a family member that the puppy is starting to respect. Family members are welcome and encouraged to attend to maintain consistency. Handlers must be at least 12 years of age, but please contact us – exceptions may apply.

Which class is right for my dog?

By talking to you in person first we can determine the correct class to enroll your dog in and set up an assessment if there is a behaviour issue in question.

What if I can’t attend a class?

If you are unable to continue in a class due to scheduling etc, there is a no refund policy after the first class, however, we will do our best to fit you into an open space in the future. If your dog falls ill and cannot attend a particular week, we encourage you to attend without the dog so you may continue to practise at home. If the above is not possible, we can set up a private lesson with you (if time permits) and a nominal fee will apply.

Should I feed my dog on class night?

On class nights we suggest you feed your dog a small portion of his meal, and some dogs require some exercise before attending.

What should I wear to class?

Proper footwear is essential – comfortable shoes or sports sandals in warm weather. No flipflops. Dry indoor shoes are mandatory in inclement weather.

When should I arrive for my class?

Arriving 5-10min before your class time is ideal so that your dog can socialize with his classmates. A class may be running before yours, so please plan accordingly.

What are Trimark’s hours of operation ?

Please note that generally the office is only open when conducting the scheduled classes and private lessons, therefore it is easier to contact us via email or phone.
